We are here to remove the stress of planning events, use your creative ideas combined with our years of experience and results to bring your vision to life.

Efua is the founder of Opoku Empire, a boutique event planning company created to bring your dream event to life. Her event planning journey began when friends and family would rely on her to plan their gatherings. A natural organizer and lover of details and gathering people together, she soon realized her gift for collaborating in creating lasting memories and connections through event planning. 


She went on to plan diaspora focused conferences, before planning natural hair and fashion shows; followed by becoming a planner for FestAfrica the largest scale African festival in the DMV area; then went on to Director of Events & Talent acquisition for Afropolitancities, the largest nation-wide monthly Afro-Caribbean networking mixer. Her most recent ventures include the design of a platform, Efuaslist to share resources and connect the community to small businesses.
